Lindsay McCarty Resource Center
Located in the Children's Room our Resource Center is primarily
for middle schoolers. The four computers are available for research and homework to children on an hourly basis. This was made possible by a memorial contribution. We have databases for homework and projects, see Young Adult Room below.

Young Adult Room
The young adult room has books appropriate for readers 12 to
17 years old. The room has two computers with filtered Internet connection, Microsoft Word, reference software, etc. We have
these databases: Tutor.com, a live homework help website, World Book Online, Grolier Online, Oxford Reference Online and Find It Virginia - an extensive periodicals database.

Children's Room
The Children's Room contains books, for children of all ages,
and also boasts a computer with educational games and an
internet connection. To help you find what you are looking for,
ask our Youth Services Assistant, Ms. Tonya!

Public Access Catalog (PAC) Computers
The PAC's allow patrons access to the Library's catalog.
Searches can be performed by title, author, or subject, and the current availability of the item is displayed. You can also access
this online from home using your PIN number.

Public Computers
The Library has six computers with Internet access and a laser printer. We have a number of databases that include LearningExpressLibrary.com, a practice test database for academic and licensing tests, HeritageQuest Online, a geneology and local history database. Computers are available to patrons on an hourly basis. There is even a typewriter for typing forms, etc. Stop by the circulation desk to complete a computer user's form. We charge $.10 a copy to help pay for printer paper.

Meeting Room

This room is available for local non-profit groups at no charge;
there is a nominal fee for others. Please inquire at the
circulation desk.
