The Lancaster Community Library is located at 235 School Street in Kilmarnock, Virginia. Parking is available behind the building. Patrons returning books may use the drop-off box located beside the entrance to the parking lot on the north side of the Library.

The Library is closed on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Memorial Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day (the day after Christmas).
Book Drop
A book drop is located adjacent to the entrance side of the Library driveway. Patrons may place books in the book drop at any time. Books are picked up several times each day. The library also maintains book drops at White Stone Pharmacy and Lilian Hardware in Burgess. Books are picked up from these sites weekly and due dates adjusted to account for the delay.
